About the Event
Greetings fellow food and wine lovers,
We’ve got one more stop on our virtual tour of Italy: Umbria, home to porcini, morels, and truffles, oh my!
Mushroom season is coming in hot, so here’s a recipe you can use with any variety, all winter long. In this class, we’ll be learning the dry saute method for cooking mushrooms that we’ll serve atop your favorite ravioli, accompanied by a decadent herb and butter sauce.
We'll explore the bold and rugged flavors of Umbrian wines! We’ll talk about why these wines are perfect with mushrooms and hopefully you’ll discover a new favorite wine region.
Our hosts and instructors for the evening will be:
* Chaney Janssen, a Certified Wine Specialist & Italian Wine Scholar.
* Meghan O'Connell, a Chef and Master of Public Health.
In advance of class, participants will receive a PDF with the full shopping list and suggestions on where to purchase the wine we’ll be tasting. (notes: only one ticket required per household; serving portions tend to be for two people but you can adapt for more)
Waiting room will open a few minutes early to allow time for everyone to get ready. Class will start promptly at 5:30 p.m.
** If you are a paid Dante member and don't see the discount applied when logged into your account contact Laurie by firstname.lastname@example.org, for assistance before making a purchase. We cannot offer refunds, unless the class is canceled by Dante.
